In the Wild

The why takes someone to write it down.

Three campus activations ran this month. Sephora at Kohl's took a beauty corner to Auburn, Georgia and Florida. CeraVe renovated a sorority backyard at Florida State with a dermatologist attached, aimed squarely at tanning culture. Sally Beauty toured five schools with Her Campus and more than twenty brands in tow.

The builds are good. The CeraVe one is a real behavioral read: it does not lecture students about sun damage, it changes the place where they sit outside.

What the trade coverage carries is the inventory. A fragrance fridge. A photo op. A prize wheel. Beauty-inspired sorbet. No reach figure, no outcome, and nothing about how any of these brands got onto campus in the first place, which is the hardest part of the job.

That absence is not proof the brands did not measure. It is proof that the recap is what travels. The reel is easy to file. The why takes someone to write it down.
