The city is the least interesting part of it.
The Inspired Home Show is leaving Chicago, and the city is the least interesting part of it.
Trade Show News Network reported on September 28 that ANDMORE, a Blackstone company, has signed an eight-year deal with the International Housewares Association to move the show to AmericasMart in Atlanta. The last Chicago edition runs in March 2027 at McCormick Place, after 66 years there. Atlanta opens in January 2028, co-located with Winter Atlanta Market.
A convention hall is rented by the week. A mart is leased by the year. ANDMORE's own announcement describes the move as bringing the show into a permanent, cross-category marketplace model for the first time in its history, adding year-round showrooms to its tradeshow presence.
That changes what an exhibitor is actually buying. Three days of booth becomes a room that is open whenever the buyer is in town, with the show as the week it fills up.
The show did not move cities. It moved into a building that never closes.
